I had the distinct pleasure of being included in Pittsburgh's Women of Visions https://www.womenofvisionspgh.org/ New York Edition of their exhibit "Magnificent Motown" exhibit. The exhibit featured art inspired by Motown music by various Pittsburgh artists. The host gallery, Kenkeleba is located in NYC's Lower Eastside: https://www.kenkeleba.org/ The exhibit was from March 12 - April 30, 2022. Unfortunately I could not make the exhibit but an artist associated featured in the exhibit took pictures of my work. I really love the work of Stevie Wonder and the gallerist, Ms. Corrine, selected two of my pieces, Fulfillingness, from Mr. Wonder's seventeenth recording and "Talking Book," his fifteenth album. "Art as Liberation: Celebrating Black Art in Pittsburgh" 115 Federal St June 18, 2022 10 AM - 5 PM The Pittsburgh Pirates, Mikael Owunna Studios, 1HoodMedia and The Redd Studio have organized to create "Art as Liberation: Celebrating Black Art in Pittsburgh," an outdoor celebration in honor of Juneteenth. As we know, art can be a liberating and beautiful things. I will be there along with other artists so please drop by. There will be loads of art, free food, entertainment and merriment!
